Acts of Conformity with the Will of God was written by Saint Alphonsus Liguori between 1696-1787. He was a Bishop and is a Doctor of the Church. He is the patron of confessors, moral theologians, and arthritis. He is called the Most Zealous Doctor of the Church and the Doctor of Prayer. His feast day is August 1st.
It is said that many of his prayers were written right after being in ecstacy from meditating on Our Lord or Our Lady. It is also said that Alphonsus loved Our Lord and Our Lady with so much zeal that not even the Seven Seraphim Angels who constantly adore God the Father could create a prayer so loving as Saint Alphonsus Liguori.
