This novel seems to portray a story that could be happening. It is a fast paced action mystery with all the elects of a good read, interspersed with great nuggets of Truth. I would recommend this to anyone who is questioning government overregulation, who believes that Truth will always win and who like to read fast paced books!

I couldn’t put it down. I was loaned the book but then purchased my own so my family could read it too. Purchased a couple more for gifts. It’s pretty eye opening and not too far off from where we are heading in today’s environment.

An extraordinary novel...

Elizabeth Schmeidler is an extremely talented novelist who lives up to and exceeds her reputation. While there is certainly a Christian message as with her other novels, this one falls squarely within the thriller/suspense genre. Typical of her writing, the beginning seems a bit disjointed with several threads of the story appearing to be unrelated. After a few short chapters, the cohesiveness of the story line begins to reveal itself. From this point on, it is the ride of a lifetime. While this is a work of fiction, there are so many facts and representations of what is going on in our society today, it takes on a life of its own. It is a short ride to fall under her spell and consider the truth and potential truths presented. Truly her best work yet.

Characters worth knowing, fast-paced page-turner, this will scare you but leave you with hope!

It is almost impossible to tell an excellent story if it is a vehicle for a message. I say almost, because Schmeidler has done a great job of writing a story that is also a wake-up lens through which to see what is hiding in plain sight all around us. There is a curtain of confusion that hides the truth so that truth cannot be known, and then there is a veil of creativity that gently reveals the truth by couching it in a well-told story with believable characters and skillful dialogue. This is a dark tale, but one that needs to be told and that leaves you with hope and courage. Brava! Encore!
