Authentic Holy Face Cross

The Archconfraternity of the Holy Face cross is made of iron and plated in brass.
It measures 1 7/8 inches.

It is designed according to the specifications of the original Archconfraternity cross produced in Tours France in the 19th century.
It features on the front the Veil of Veronica in the centre.
The prayers inscribed on the front and back are as follows in Latin:

“Vade Retro Satana” – Get back, Satan


“Sit Nomen Domini Benedictum” – Blessed be the Name of the Lord

It also features the year the devotion was approved during the reign of Blessed  Pius IX and the name of the city of Tours where the devotion originated.
